Here is your complete journey to becoming an RICS qualified professional.

Step 1
Express an interest in joining RICS through RICS website or your local RICS regional local office.

Step 2
Your regional RICS local office will contact you (or this can be done via the online wizard) of the route to qualification you are eligible for.

Step 3
You will be invited to complete an enrolment application form, that will require your contact details, copy of your degree certificate,name of your designated counsellor, your chosen pathway, declaration and the joining fees.

Step 4
Your local RICS regional office will contact you to confirm approval of your enrolment and you will be given a memberhip number (that will carry you through your whole lifespan with RICS), and log in details to access your ARC digital portal.

Step 5
Access your online Portal and prepare for the final assessment, including completing pre-assessment submissions and the online Ethics module.

Step 6
Apply for and attend the final assessment interview.

Step 7
If you are successful at the interview you will be awarded with the Chartered Surveyor designation MRICS!

Routes to qualification
If you do not have a degree and you have less than ten years experience, you can still find a route to becoming a MRICS, by first becoming a RICS Associate. Please contact your local RICS office.
